A Sunday Afternoon of Blessings
On Sunday afternoon, the International Baptist Fellowship traveled down the Orange Line Subway to Tremont Temple Baptist Church where we held a baptismal service. My friend asked me how the baptism went. I replied, “Four individuals launched into abundant life, which is eternal life. It was unbelievably wonderful.”
The International Baptist Church now has a voting membership. In the morning fellowship time, the IBF became a voting membership. Although we decided to wait for fall before recognizing our church status, becoming a voting membership is a significant step in the life of our church. By doing so, the membership takes on the ownership of the ministry. As we learned Sunday morning, ownership implies responsibility, and responsibility done well brings blessing.
