Dear friends and supporters,

Thank you for being our co-workers by means of prayer and giving.

Our goal is to start new city churches by making new disciples. Some build churches by gathering existing Christians from other places and churches. While not necessarily bad, it is not our (Bill and Deb) calling to start churches by gathering existing believers. God has put the desire in our hearts to minister the gospel to those who have not heard and who do not yet believe. Therefore, baptisms are always a big deal to us, and last night we enjoyed our eighth baptism this year. Will, who we met last year at our International Thanksgiving Dinner, was baptized last night. Toby Stevens (BMM missionary appointee on deputation) immersed Will in the baptismal tank of the Evangelical Baptist Church (a church we helped start). Toby spent many hours with Will, explaining the gospel using the Bible from the book of Genesis to the Gospel of John. Will’s grandmother in China has been praying for Will’s salvation as has the International Baptist Church (IBC). When reading John 3:36, Will realized his need to thank God for Jesus Christ who died for his sins. Last night, the IBC gathered together to witness Will’s act of obedience. Praise the Lord!

Deb and I will be traveling to China for two weeks in May 2014. We hope to learn a little bit more about the culture of our Chinese friends, and disciples. We also hope to visit several friends in China and, perhaps, start a study or two with existing acquaintances. One evening last year, when having an on line meeting with a friend in Beijing, I (Bill) had the wonderful privilege of meeting his extended family by means of his computer camera. I will never forget the image of his extended family sitting around a large round table, peering back at me through his computer. My heart immediately desired to be there with my Bible, opening the pages that lead to life. Now, I may have the opportunity to do so. If you are interested in helping financially, you can find more information on our Supporters Website.

This Friday night will be the first of three consecutive International Thanksgiving Dinners. Please pray especially for Deb as she labors throughout the weekend. Also, pray that we will meet more friends like Will.

If you are interested in our financial ministry needs, you can visit our Supporters Website, where you will find more information than you may have ever wanted.

We love you,

Bill and Deb
