Dear friends and supporters,

Thank you for being our co-workers by means of prayer and giving.

This is a busy week for me. This evening I will speak at Trinity Baptist Church, which is our sending church. Then on Thursday I travel into northern Maine to speak at a men’s retreat, (four men from our ministry are also going). On Saturday afternoon, I return to Boston. Please pray, as I will be speaking six times.

I continue to discipline my schedule, combining individual Bible studies into group studies. The goal is to make more time to add the immigrant community into our church plant ministry. Soon Deb and I will be spending time at a local park where people from all over the world come to relax. In addition, a cooking class for immigrant ladies is in the planning stage.

Recently Deb had the compliment of being labeled the gym mom at a rock climbing center we frequent. ( Someone actually wrote that on one of her food containers.) Deb always brings tasty treats to the employees. We hope to build evangelistic relationships there, which will lead into evangelistic Bible studies.

Please pray for Yang and Sidney, who are involved with evangelistic Bible studies and for Han, another Han and Kavin. These men were doing evangelistic studies but became too busy to continue. Tom, Chou and Fiona have shown sincere interest in the Bible and God, but have yet to begin studies.

Ronnie, Bolin, Jiachin, and Becky will be leaving Boston soon. Please pray that they will take what God gave them here and use it to edify others wherever they go.

Andy Scott (raising support to return to Boston) visited Boston and spoke a week ago on Sunday. He has not raised much support, but he is determined, focused, and proactive. I was hoping to encourage him, but he encouraged me. The Stevens are doing very well in their deputation efforts—more about that soon.

Jianwei and Xiuhua, Jay and Audrey desire to move back to Boston and are making tentative plans to do so. HZ hopes to move to the USA, and I am praying he will make his home in Boston. The Lord is helping us.

Our Prayer

Dear Father, please help the International Baptist Church (IBC) join You in building a just, equitable, and righteous church in Boston. Please give the IBC wisdom to build, “the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth,” a place where every kind of person is effectively cared for, a discipling center that will equip individuals to start discipleship centers wherever they go. Please give the IBC wisdom to build a multi-ethnic church that ministers to the whole world in Boston (every ethnicity, university/college, rich and poor, sophisticated or simple minded). Help the International Baptist Church be a truly orthodox church in every good sense of the word. Without Your supernatural empowering, this will not be done. Make us into a church that is able to do Your will in Boston.

It is in the name of Jesus Christ that we pray,

Please pray with us.
